Deepak Rajanna: Deepak is the Director of Engineering at Flipkart. He is passionate about public health, and was the Vice President, Technology Solutions at the IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health. He has previous IT experience with Amazon, Yahoo, Siemens, and Motorola as well. He completed his B.E. In Electronics and Communications from Bangalore University.
Garima Kapila : Garima graduated from IIT Delhi in 2005, with a B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. She started her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company’s India practice, ultimately specializing in the Development sector. To take up the challenge of mobilizing India’s brightest youth in the movement for educational equity, Garima joined Teach For India (TFI)’s core start-up team in October 2008. As TFI’s Mumbai City Director, she setup operations in Mumbai and managed its subsequent scale-up to 160 Fellows teaching 5000+ students across 50+ schools in Mumbai.
In 2012, Garima joined Swasth, and headed multiple verticals over the next 3 years – HR & Professional Development, Supply Chain & Shared Services– focussing on improving performance & productivity, institutionalizing systems & processes and training staff for scale. In 2015, she took up the role of the COO of Swasth, overseeing Operations & Quality Improvement across 200+ staff in 15+ clinics. Garima has an avid interest in Yoga, and is currently building the holistic disease reversal and well-being vertical at Swasth, after having completed her PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy (and Yoga Instructor’s course) from S-VYASA, India’s only Yoga University.
R.K. Rangan: Rangan is a Senior Managing Director of Nomura and the President & CEO of Nomura Services. He is responsible for overall direction, management and development of capabilities which provide Technological, Operational, Risk Management, Research & Analytical support to Nomura’s Global Financial Business including Investment Banking, Securities Business & Asset Management. He has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry and has keen interest in identifying untapped and under-utilized resources and optimizing them towards social development
Shantanu Rastogi: Shantanu is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the Financial Services, Healthcare, and Retail & Consumer sectors in India & Asia-Pacific. He rejoined General Atlantic in 2013 after working at the firm from 2005 to 2007. Previously, Shantanu was a Principal at Apax Partners, and prior to that was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.He serves on the board of directors of Absolute BBQ, House of Anita Dongre, and IIFL Wealth & Asset Management. Shantanu earned his M.B.A. at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and his Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology.
Sundeep Kapila (Co-Founder and CEO): Sundeep holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay, M.D. in Alternative Medicine from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, a Diploma of Associateship from the Insurance Institute of India and 2 years of Law Studies from Mumbai University.He has worked with McKinsey & Company for 7 years, where he specialized in Healthcare and Development sectors. During his time at McKinsey he developed a keen interest in development space and noticed several inefficiencies in health care supply chain which he felt could be optimized to lower the cost of healthcare delivery for low income segments. Therefore, he left McKinsey in Jan’08 to pursue his passion in healthcare for the masses.
He founded Swasth in 2008 with the goal of making high quality healthcare accessible and affordable for the masses. Swasth’s journey over the next 3 years includes experiments in micro health insurance, health mutuals, primary health care delivery and tele-medicine, which finally culminated in setting up primary healthcare clinics for low income segments in Mumbai. Over the next five years, Swasth has been refining this model to deliver patient centric high quality affordable primary care on a self sustainable basis at half the market rates.
